The Lookup application maintains lookup categories used where a value must selected from a pre-defined list. The application maintains system categories such as Application and User groups and can also be used to create a new lookup categories that can be used in conjunction with a custom columns when values must be selected from a list.

Categories

Each distinct lookup category is defined by a code and some descriptive text.

Values

For each category you can define an unlimited number of values. Each lookup value consists of a unique code, a description and a sequence value that can be used to control the order of the values in the selection list.
