The Custom Columns applications gives you the ability to define your own custom data fields that can be entered and reported against within DbNetTime alongside the built-in data values and include in the standard DbNetTime reports.
The grid displays a list of all the define custom columns. Table The name of table to which the custom column has been added. The table can be Company, Project, Task, User or Hours. Column The name of the column. The column name is always prefixed ud (user-defined). The descriptive name associated with the column. Required Specifies if the value must be supplied when adding a record. Lookup If you want the value to be selected from a predefined list then you can create a category of lookup using Lookup maintenance Format Specifies a standard format mask for date/time or numeric fields. Hint Allows some free text to be specified which will be display when the mouse is held over the entry field. Clicking on the Add button will open the Add Custom Column Dialog which allow you to select a custom database column for configuration. Table Name A list of tables against which custom columns can be defined. Column Name A list of custom columns defined against the selected table (that have not yet been configured). Add Column Opens the Add Database Column Dialog which allows a new custom column to be added to the selected table. The dialog allows a new custom column to be added to the database. Once added the column can be selected in the Add Custom Column Dialog Column Name The name of the database column Column Type The data type of the column, choose from character, data/time, bit, integer and floating point.
